Vintage Folio and Happy Birthday Imushka

Hello dears!

I'm here today sharing my project inspired by the fabulous  Art Daily Cafe August Mood Board.

I'm not sure if I call it a Folio or a Folder but I can say I really enjoyed creating it!

Those who knows me already probably noticed, both recycling and upcycling are very close to my heart so I embraced  this challenge happily. I find Finnabair's packaging so beautiful that I keep a lot so it was easy for me, I only had to choose which one I wanted to work with. Do you recognize them?
Today is my Mother's Birthday so this project is dedicated to her - this amazing lady!!

Looking forward to seeing your projects!

Happiness looks great on you!

Hello friends!
This month at More than words we have the word HAPPINESS and the SKETCH as a creative challenge. I made and LO inspired by them using my Daughter's photo.

She is my HAPPINESS and he is hers! One year ago Juice (the Cat) arrived at our home and since than my sweet princess is always happy.
I was inspired by the SKETCH to use two photos and made  this LO which I realy enjoyed creating and love the result. The sentiment I've chose is perfect for this photos:
'HAPPINESS looks gorgeous on you!".

Word Inspiration - HAPPINESS
Creative Challenge - SKETCH

What does the word HAPPINESS inspire you to create? You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project or simply be inspired by it. Please explain in your blog post how it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

Speaking of happiness, we know what would make you happy this month - this beautiful and unique SKETCH designed by none other than our very own Edith Cloutier. A sketch is a great way to kickstart your creativity. You can rotate it or change it up as you like just as long as we can clearly see that you modeled your project on it.

Waiting for you, join us to win gorgeous prizes!

Nothing can stop you - mini challenge

Hello dears!
Mini challenge time at More than Words.

I made this Tag thinking about the phrase I've chosen: "Nothing can Stop you",  I wanted to acheive a stronf and dramatic effect so I choose papers from the Lost and found collection by 7 Dots Studio together with a big paper frame and red flower.
Love the result !

You are Unique canvas for 7dots Studio

Hello friends!
Anat here and It’s my turn to show you my new project Inspired by the gorgeous March moodboard.

Our blog has a new Challenge with a beautiful and glimmery moodboard for your inspiration! Five inspiring pictures and an a gorgeous color palette!
I was  immediatley inspired by the  bottom center photo - the tree with the flowers and light passing throgh them reminded me of a Jewelry piece and that's how I've chosen the picture and embellishments for the canvas . The color pallete is one of my favorites combinations! For the background I used the two sides of Cotton Candy Dreams - Mint Julep for the picture matting 2 tags from Dreamscapes collection and Air Mail Tags.
As my usual I finalized with Word Stickers.

Hope you like my canvas and wish to see you playing along with us at the challenge!

Love Hamsa & Video tutorial for 7Dots

Hello dears!
Today I want to share with you a very special altered project,  I've created it for my niece who got married last week.
I made for you guys a video tutorial of the altering process.

This MDF base is called Hamsa. Hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa and commonly used in jewelry and wall hangings.
Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the hamsa is believed by some, predominantly Muslims and Jews, to provide defense against the evil eye.

I started altering it by cutting  a hamsa format out of  Fortune teller Palmistry page, to cover all base.
While drying I cut doilies, frame and lace from Fortune Teller Fortune paperFortuneTeller - Charted paper and Yuletide - Figgy Pudding paper.

Watch here the video tutorial to see the intire process:

Step by Step mixed media Tags for 7dots Studio

Hello Crafty friends!

Here today to show you a set of Tags created with Air Mail papers and embellished with more collection.

The Air Mail collection has wonderful prints and some really  lovely patterns.
I wanted to create Tags where the beautiful pattern on papers is well featured.

I used patterned papers from the 12×12 paper pad , images from Garden party Collection, stickers  and die-cut elements.
The background was created with gorgeous Garden party Stencil, plaster paste, Gilded burgundy brass EP  and an amazing new products of Lindy's the Polite people purple squirt.
I hope you like my Tags!

Here is the Step by Step video of the process:
