Art Journaling with Squirts

Hello gorgeous gang!
It’s Anat here and for today’s blog post I would like to show you the vintage Art Journal spread I’ve created, using fabulous Squirts. as usuall I made a video tutorial so you can see the simple, quick and fun process.
I hope you will find my techniques and tips interesting, whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist.

So let's start...

Basic Process

  • First step: cover the pages with clear Gesso
  • Adhere piece of Tissue paper, use soft gel under and on top of the Tissue paper
  • To make it less bold, brush white gesso  on top
  • Add a bit of stamping
  • For a more texture, spread Molding Paste through a Stencil
  • Add color with Lindy's Squirt - Canadian Bacon Blush
No need to add water, use paint brush to help spreading
  • Add a bit of Lindy's Squirt - Maple Syrup Bronze
  • Brush White heavy gesso using dry and hard Brush
  • I gathered some paper die cuts and a Vintage picture with sentiment and made a composition in both sides
  • Add to die cuts, tiny bit of Lindy's Squirt: Beaver Tail Brown and Polite People Purple
  • Art journal spread is Ready!

Step by Step mixed media Tags for 7dots Studio

Hello Crafty friends!

Here today to show you a set of Tags created with Air Mail papers and embellished with more collection.

The Air Mail collection has wonderful prints and some really  lovely patterns.
I wanted to create Tags where the beautiful pattern on papers is well featured.

I used patterned papers from the 12×12 paper pad , images from Garden party Collection, stickers  and die-cut elements.
The background was created with gorgeous Garden party Stencil, plaster paste, Gilded burgundy brass EP  and an amazing new products of Lindy's the Polite people purple squirt.
I hope you like my Tags!

Here is the Step by Step video of the process:

Reverse Canvas for Dusty Attic

Hello dear Dusty FANattics!
I am so excited to share another project as a Dusty Attic Design Team Member.

I have created this reversed canvas, as a frame, featuring the amazing Entangled Heart chipboard and some more of the gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards (see below).
I have covered the chippies with 3 new Lindy's Starburst Squirts, added beautiful 49&market' flowers, Pebbles, Art Stones and Micro beads.
On the frame I used a tecnique I love which adds  every project gorgeous texture: the Frame laterals were covered with pieces of different fabric lace, I applied to the center crackle paste and let it dry and crack over night.
I colored the frame with the same colors I used on the chippies, this time diluating with water to get a pastel colors and let the chippiesn stand out.
After drying I added 2 layers of dry brush white gesso.

The chippies I used are:
