Found Ordinary industrial Coins for Dusty Attic

 Hello crafty friends!

Back today with my Moodboard inspired project - a couple of Industrial Coins.

To create my Industrial Coins I first cut 2 circles out of 6*6 Beauty Restless collection by Craft O'clock-Mixed Media and adhered them on 2 cardboard circles.
Next I primed the papers with Clear Gesso and when dry I grabbed the Cogs stencil and spread through it Blue Opals and Sparkly Onyx  Jewel effect paste - new Finnabiar's pastes. To make it more Interseting I sparkled Stampendous Aged and Lindy's Chunky Embossing Powders.

Part of the chippboards where colored with Finnabair Fantasy pastes and others with Metalique Paints. All were rubbed with different Metalique Waxes.
I wanted the Brick chipboards to look similar to the ones in Moodboard, the coloring was made with lots of layers, soon I will make a video tutorial to show how I made it.

Celebration of contrasts - Art Journal Spread for Art Daily cafe

 Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Anat hre with my take on the fabulous February Moodboard - Red!! I love it!!

Our February theme is: Celebration of contrasts

February Art Daily Color is Dark red

Quote by Chris Crutcher: “Nothing exists without its opposite.”

I had in mind a few contrasts to work with and I had to choose which one I would go with. What made me decide was the quote by George Bernard Shaw: "Greatness is one of the sensations of littleness".

My idea isn't only Great vs. Little but also Busy vs. Idle which the quote suites as well.

The images I've picked for this spread features very well the idea of the quote, but I also added paints, texture to eneforce it even more.

Hope you like it and feel inspired to join us, I'm definitely  looking forward to seeing it!

Guardian Angels - video tutorial for Finnabair

 Hello Crafty friends!

It's Anat here today  with another Video Tutorial just for you guys - Finnabair's fans!

A few weeks ago I made tiny Hamsas with Angels on them and I got many request to make a tutorial showing how I made it. I didn't want to make exactly the same thing so I took the technique and the Angels and altered a Prima Wooden Icons drawer.

I named my project Guardian Angels and I'm sure most of us what like to have at home this team of cute Angels watching for us.

As you will see in the video I used many Liquid Acrylic Paints, I love working with them! they are versatile and I love their bold color and watercolor effect we can get with them. They blend so well together and that is why they are perfect for this technique!

Watch the altering process here:
