Industrial Heart Box for Dusty Attic

Hello carfty friends!
Anat here sharing my second project for October - a Heart shaped box inspired by the gorgeous moodboard.

43879385_10216517100461211_5615879338219012096_o

I started by priming the box using Heavy White Gesso, leaving brush strokes for some texture.
When dry I cut Industrial Corners and  adhered the pieces around the box, together with the smaller parts of the Jumbo Cogs set
On the lid I adhered Chicken Wire Panel.

Next I painted all box, with chipboards on, using Lindy's Hockey Puck Black Squirt.
This squirt is a Black with Blue Grey in it and I love it! I colred it unevenly, leaving darker spots and stains here and there.
After drying the paint I rubed Aged Brass and Red Amber Finnabair's Metalique waxes.

I brushed Industrial Barbed Stars and some cogs from the Jumbo Cogs set, with Finnabair Rust Paste and Hot embossed randomly, on top, a bit of  Stampendous Aged Green EP.
I also embossed the chipboards glued around the box.

I cut the embossed chipboards and adhered them on top of the Chicken wire. Next colored one compass from the Mini Compasses set using Lindy's Whale Watch Blue Spray.
Last step was to adhere the compass and add Finnabair's mini hardware pieces.

Hope you like it!

Stay Curious Canvas - video Tutorial

It’s Anat here and for today’s blog post, I’m sharing a new Video Tutorial showing how to create a Canvas Background, alter Metal elements with different effects  and more, using Squirts, Shakers, Sprays and Lindy’s Embossing Powder.

Basic Steps

  1. First step is to add to the canvas Plaster texture paste  with a Stencil
  2. When dry cover with white heavy gesso
  3. Add White Crackle Paste and wait for crackling
  4. When the crackle is dry, add color starting with the lighter color which is Bling-y Blonde Spray, second Emerald Eh? Squirt, continue with Loonie Toonie Teal Squirt and at last add the stunning Hockey Puck Black squirt
  5. Color, an already stamped, water color paper with Whale Watch Blue magical and assemble
  6. Color mould prints with Bling-y Blonde Spray and the others with Whale Watch Blue Spray, add metalique waxes to highlight details
  7. Cover chipboard elements with Embossing Powders: on background pieces use Queen Sheba's Silver, on swirls use Scotch Broom Yellow and on the clock swirl Guten tag teal.
  8. Assemble everything on the canvas
  9. Add to the canvas a bit of Steampunk Sepia Spray diluated in water
  10. Add stamping with Black Archival Ink
  11. Add to the composition metal elements and some more clay embellhiments and color them with a mixture of 3D Gloss gel and Guten Tag Teal Shaker. You will notice a different effect on each kind of embellishments.
    Add waxes to them.
  12. Add some more beauty with Glass Glitter and Micro Beads
  13. Give it a try and have fun:)
Have a look at the Hockey Puck Black squirt effect, it is so fabolous!

A Heart decor with my Parents

Hello crafty friends!
Anat here today with a special project - a Heart decor with my parents picture.

Last month my parents celebrated their marriage anniversary so I've created this Heart for them, using a picture I love.
For the Background I used tissue paper, covered it with soft gel and colored using  Red and Dark Brown Acohol Inks. I added texture with texture paste and stencil  and when dry brushed it with metalique waxes.

I painted the  Medallion#2 the Ornate Pendants #3  and the Metalique flowers with Finnabair Metalique Brass Hardware acrylic paint.
The Foliage #15 and Corner Flourish #2 were painted  with  Powder  Blue from  Finnabair Nrothern Light Rust Paste Set and Bronze Age wax was gently rubbed on it.

Fot my parents picture I covered the ATC Frame #7 with the Turquoise from  Finnabair Nrothern Light Rust Paste Set and used on top Stampendous Aged Green Embossing Powder.

After I assembled all chipboard I added 49 & Market flowers and  Finnabair Gold Microbeads and Finnabair Copper Glass Glitter.  I Added small cabuchons colored with alcohol ink.

Last step was to color the "Happy together" from Wordpl@y #4  set, with Lindy's Shabby Turbine Teal Spray and rubb Bronze Age wax.
