Creating a Rusty peeled Heart Padlock for Finnabair

Hello creative friends!

Lately I’m very much into textures! Meaning I challenge myself to imitate different textures created by time (nature, sea, rain etc.)

In the video Tutorial, I’m sharing today, I’m altering an MDF Heart Padlock, showing how to make a peeled paint rusty texture.

You will see that this technique works very well with Finnabair’s Liquid acrylic Paints. I have chosen Magenta and Orange colors, but you can easily replace the colors with others in case you prefer different shades.

Finnabair has an amazing range of Liquid Acrylic paint so I’m sure you will try all.

Believe, Practice, Secret - Art Journal for Art Daily Café

It’s Anat here today with my take on the monthly Moodboard and Theme: 

Witchery and Magic, deep Green

I absolutely love this Month inspirational Moodboard: Colors theme and quote! It is not only amazing but very inspiring. 

I have had several ideas for my Art Journal and choosn the one "shouting louder".

My idea was to create a spread using some witchery ingredients. I grabbed dried vines from my Basil plant, picked Stems from Aspargus plant I found near by, added dried flowers and adhered them together with text in Heberew and English .

I used this Month's color especially on the edges and used inside the spread more colors from the Moodboard.

This time I decided to add to my Art Journal spread, words and not sentiment or a quote. I found this words match  and express my idea perfectly:

Believe, Practice, Secret

Vintage Altered Jar for Dusty attic

Hello crafty friends!

Anat here, sharing today my take on the monthly moodboard.

When I was choosing the chipboards for the altering of the Jar, I came across this amazing Royal frame and knew I had to use it! I wanted a vintage shabby look and it is perfect for this. 
The frame was painted with Finnabair's Impasto paints and rubbed with vintage gold metalique wax.

To complete the Jar decoration I grabbed: Foliage #23, Mini monarch butterfly and Ginkgo biloba and sprayed them with a few Lindy's Starburst Sprays and rubbed with Finnabair's vintage gold metalique wax.
