Wooden basket - May's Art Recipe for Finnabair

 Hello crafty friends!

May's color combination is one of my favourites – Rose and Green, so joyful and elegant.

 You probably noticed I use Finnabair's Tissue Papers a lot almost everywhere. Lately I enjoy using them  on top of wooden bases, with only clear gesso on top as a primer, I just love the wooden texture underneath the paper. That's what I did in my piece. 

To go along and complete the vintage look I used True Emeralds Jewel paste and Rose Gold to color the paper clay decoration. I've also added Mini Art stones and shadowing with 2 mica powders from the fabulous Vintage Roses set.

Rusty book box for Dusty Attic

 Hello  friends!

It's Anat here back with Rusty piece (didn't you maiss it? LOL).

As I always tell you the best way to alter a Box is using Fabulous Dusty Attic's chipboard.

Every style you chosse you will have an amazing range of chippies. I always try to create different pieces in different styles, that way I don't get bored  but I always come back to my  Love Industrial and Steampunk projects.

To give some texture to the Box, I've used the gorgeous metal plates Stencil. After drying I spryed Lindy's Spray and colored the Chipboards with Finnabair's Rust Pastes and waxes.

Mistakes vs. Perfection - Art Daily Cafe challenge

Hello crafty friends! 

May's Theme  Mistakes vs. Perfection, which I'm hosting, is an issue I always reflect about.  

I even  think about it when  recording a video tutorial. I often ask myself: Should I show my mistakes and parts of the projects I don't like? Should I show everything so people can learn and see how I managed to improve it or even uplift my original idea? Something I'm sure about is the more we try and make mistakes the better we get, that isn't a cliche it is the very truth and that's the reason I'm Joking about it : "I never make the same mistake  twice. I make it five or six times just to be sure" LOL

In my project I have chosen a more serious sentiment of encouragement : "Take every chance. Drop every fear" we should tell this ourselves, everyday. My project is an LO I started some time ago  and because of some smudges and stains I ended up not finishing it. Such a perfect paper (by 7 Dots Studio) couldn't be wasted, right?! so I cut the page in half and turned it into something else. I hope you like it and feel inspired to take a project which went wrong and uplift it.

Silence - a frame for Art Daily Cafe

Hello dears!

It's Anat here,  sharing my Project inspired by Art Daily Cafe April Moodboard you can find below.

I have made a paper frame so I could place the big gorgeous Butterfly, taken from Finnabair's Flutter Tissue paper. As I wanted it to have Art Journal Style I left it  rather flat - not too many layers. 

I've decided not to use a quote or sentiment and instead of telling you what my project features I would love to hear  (read) your interpretation. I Hope you like it!
