Hey Gang!
Anat here and I hope you are having a great time.
For today’s post, I’ve created an altered Sea Glass Bowl with a Step by step Video Tutorial.
As the Summer is approaching I felt like creating something Nautical or Sea related, then I came across this Glass Bowl and knew that's what I'll do.
Basic Process
- Start by covering part of the Glass Bowl with Heavy White Gesso
- The upper part we cover with Clear Gesso
- Spread on part of the Glass Bowl White Crackle Paste
- Quickly heat the paste and start adhering Seashells, pearls, gears, buttons and similar
- to add some texture and Sea feeling, Emboss randomly using Purely White EP
- Add small elements like Pearls Tiny Sea Stars and Seashells
- Add Art Stones with Gel Medium
- After 3-4 hours of drying Spray Sidewalk Chalk Flat Fabio
- Dry Brush Using White Heavy Gesso
- Let the Fun begin: Spray with gorgeous Whale Watch Blue
- Add Frosty Forest Green Spray
- Add Opal Sea Oats Spray
- After drying add Beaver tail Brown Squirts
- Add Bling-y-Blonde Spray
- Dry Brush Using White Heavy Gesso
- Continue until you’re satisfied
- I thought the Bowl needed a "foot”, so I made it with a small can to which I added texture and Sprays
- After the project was ready, I decided to replace the Skull with a Rhinestone Button
You can watch the video tutorial here:
Here's a photo I took with a candle inside the bowl:
