Creating a frame with special resist - Last project for Lindy's

 Hey Gang!

It’s Anat here with a new video tutorial creating a Mixed Media Frame with a special resist technique.

That is my last project for Lindy's! These 3 years in Lindy's design Team were fabulous! I will continue creating with all wonderful LSG products as I always do!

So now let's start creating...

Basic Process

  • Prime a Wooden Frame with White Gesso
  • Spread White Crackle Paste on all frame
  • While frame is drying, create the resist: grab white paper, use an embossing folder for pattern
and rub, carefully, Old White Matte Wax, only on pattern
  • Now, add your LSG favorite spray - Open Arms Amethyst
Slightly wipe the spray from the resist pattern
  • Color resin pieces with Canadian Bacon Blush Squirt, Add Maple Syrup Bronze Squirt
Color other pieces with Baniff Blue Squirt
  • To highlight all details, rub a bit of Old Denim and Firebird Metalique waxes
  • Add Stamping with Embossing Pad and Gimme Five Gold Fine Embossing Powder
and some more stamping with black archival ink
  • Attach the colored resist paper to the frame
  • Time to assemble everything onto  the frame
  • Mix 3D Gel with Art Stones and add around the cluster
  • When Art Stones are dry, add a bit of color on them: Polite People Purple Squirt and Silent Night Silver Spray
  • Last, add the other embellishments and sentiment
